Day 4 of my evil plan. I worked this morning going thru more recipes and putting them in the newly created cookbook entitled March Project in my Big Oven program. Here I am storing all the recipes I think I want to include. I have added and subtracted some so far. The ones that were subtracted didn't seem easy or healthy so they went bye bye. This Big Oven program I hope will make things a bit easier when getting ready to shop for the items I need to prepare these meals.
Tonite I am trying Chicken stuffed Manicotti, I want to maybe include this recipe in our routine. I had never stuffed a manicotti before, really haven't ever seen one before lol! But I handled it. I stuffed the raw manicotti with raw chicken breast that had been sliced into 1" strips for ease of stuffing. The chicken had been marinating in onion powder, pepper, a little salt and real chopped garlic. Once I stuffed them, I laid them in a bath of spaghetti sauce, then I covered that with raw Italian sausage, then another layer of sauce then the parm cheese and Mozzerella cheese. It's in the fridge right now covered in foil till a bit later. Then I will bake for 65 to 70 minutes and then we will try this.
I will let you know in tomorrow's writings!

Day 5. I have a to do list (of course) for Saturday and Sunday, Feb 27 and 28. Paul will be gone to traiining for OpenSky on Saturday so that will be my day to do some finishing touches on the plan. I am planning on going over the recipe list and the shopping list. Get the shopping list printed. I have to make sure the fridge and little freezer as well as the big freezer has enuff room, so it's clean out appliances day. Sunday is shopping day. Sunday early we will get up, eat a good breakfast and go shopping for our items. Also on Sunday I plan to have Paul help to start chopping and preparing. Along with the food for shopping I made a small list of supplies. Things like freezer containers, tin foil, plastic wrap, freezer quarts and gallons along with some foil pans and lids (from Gordon's Food Service). This time around I decided to try only dinner meals. Maybe if this works I will add breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
This didn't take much planning on my part really. I have been following OAMC for a while now. Big Oven though is really what is going to make this much easier. Add recipes to a certain cookbook, decide how many of the recipe I want to make and the portions and BO will let me print off the big ass shopping list. The hard part will be cutting, cleaning, coring, dicing, chopping and cooking ALL IN ONE DAY (or two lol).
21 dinners. Our dinners our way.
Gonna be interesting!
Till next time

Just started this area because I am home schooling Connor, our 10 year old. I have done about 6 months worth of searching on the internet for lesson plans and other things to work with. I wanted this area to share links, ideas and things I have come across with you. |
